FAQs

You've probably got lots of questions to ask before you leave your beloved pet with me, so I hope some of these help

Q1. What areas do you cover?

I am based in Denby Dale HD8 and cover areas within a 4-mile radius. For Overnight Pet Sitting I travel up to 8 miles and an additional £2.50 will be added per mile. The main areas I cover are Denby Dale, Upper Denby, Scissett, Silkstone, Silkstone Common, Cawthorne, and any other village in my catchment area.

Q2. Are you DBS checked and insured?

Yes, I am DBS checked and fully insured with Protectivity Pet Business Insurance. In addition to that, I am Pet First Aid certified. Don’t hesitate to contact me and ask to see any of the certificates.

Q3. Will you keep me updated on how my pet is doing?

Of course! For dog walks I will always send a message after the service has been provided with photos and inform you of how the service went.

For home visits and Pet Sitting I will send you regular photos and videos daily. I will report to you straight away if there is anything unusual with your pet's health or habits. You can feel free to check in with me at any point via phone, text, or email if you are concerned about your pet in your absence.

Q4. Do you always keep the dogs on the lead?

Dogs are always kept on the lead unless I have your signature confirming I can let them off lead. Once I get to know your dog and how good their recall is, determines when they can be let off lead.

Q5. What type of payment do you accept?

I accept payments via bank transfer and cash.

Q6. Do you take other dogs out with my dog?

Depending on which service you choose, depends on whether I take your dog out with others.

If you book a group walk, I take around 2-4 dogs. To decide whether each dog can go out together, I walk them a few times one-to-one so I can examine their temperament with other people and dogs, how they are off lead or on lead, their recall and how reactive they are.

If you book a one-to-one service, then I will only take your dogs out for the time agreed upon.

Q7. Where do you take the dogs on their walk?

Depending on where you live, I try to take your dogs to places where they are used to and normally walk daily. If this isn't possible, I will take them to a place no longer than 10 minutes away from their home to somewhere I know is safe to walk them.
